The Hypocrisy of Al Gore and David Zuzuki and others!

Imagine how you would feel?

Just listening to Al Gore and DR David Zuzuki on talk radio CBC.
And hearing these selfishly motivated speakers (we believe) to advance only their agenda’s.
And those of CBC as supporting their agenda being in the same group.

Imagine the conclusion David said is, “The main problem of the world crisis is the burning of fossil fuels contributing to climate change!”
Some meager truth to that. But is not the real problem!

Here’s the dilemma or actual root of the problem, Those (Al Gore David Zuzuki, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and the media such as CBC and CTV and those in the US of A) with the biggest pockets talk only of their agenda and how to solve the crisis while they line their pockets! But where does that leave those who cry out for help saying may be here in lies a solution?

Trying for a long time to get even the slightest help from anyone who will listen.
You have tried many times even to contact Al Gore, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, David Zuzuki and media stations and many others.

You can call it what ever you like stubbornness or plain stupidity of those mentioned above or including ones self. (note we included our self)

We know we are not perfect, But how would you now feel hearing all these wealthy persons speaking, “we got to do something about the pollution”!” and the climate change that is taking over our earth producing global warming!” When it seems they have a one track mind to line their pockets. When we are taught it’s better to give.

Then there is your self a man with a big heart who realises this, spends 1000’s of hours doing up paid research supported only by ones self, in a most profound field that has confounded all the intellect’s world wide. Obviously the intellect’s tell everyone this is not possible.

But just because they say “NOT” possible, does “NOT” mean what they say is true!

Now consider, having been given a fairly good education in the fields related to this subject they say Not possible. Which is (Mathematics and electronics) by a very good teacher who’s books are now used in several universities and institutes. And being able to comprehend their teachings of most learned in these field’s of physics.

That leaves us with the question WHY? Why ignore some one who tries?
Has anyone thought that just because one person financially without funds and does this mean he or she will not be the one to provide the final answer?

How would you feel possibly finding an over looked law in physics, that one wants to explore, and can’t because of lacking funds? No one listens. Then one thinks to them self, why should we give these selfishly motivated persons the knowledge one has found? Why shouldn’t we be allowed this opportunity first without contractual agreements? Especially when one knows and can possibly see many uses for this energy. (Replacing all fossil fuels to nuclear. medicine and including the possibility of space travel)

Then may be one has not got the best website to attract the attention of the simple in mind.
Does this mean they should be ignored many times?
Just because they can’t spell or communicate properly, does this also mean they should not get help?

Or is the simple answer that those who look upon the nature of what we said are the ones with the actual P brain? May be we are calling the kettle black before we have found anything.
May be we are the hypocrite with a “P” brain and not those who have been contacted and or read our web site!

How would you feel? Not having asked for money but to have asked a different reason, because we feel they won’t part with even pocket change, But to have asked for just some simple recognition to help raise a few pennies from those who like to help. All we wanted in the past was to ask for a web link as below or the mentioning of this simple research, By one who cares and is trying to do his part. By one who has never asked for a ton of money. Just enough to get by and buy the odd piece of material when needed. Rather then to consider should I buy this for my experiment or will I need this for my tires getting bald or is it food on the table this time?

It’s possibly to much to ask but,
Thank you for hearing me,

Wake Up, Freak Out, Then Get a Grip

It’s much, much later than you think…

This film starts out a bit slow. The volume was not good for me on three different computers, but the content is something that you’ll want to hear. It is a green “call to arms” but it is positive, alarming, but empowering. Watch it. Share it. Wake Up, Freak Out – then Get a Grip

Tipping point ahead. This really isn’t about polar bears any more. At this very moment, the fate of civilization itself hangs in the balance.

In 2007, Marriott increased efforts to promote employee awareness of energy efficiency by organizing its first “Green Fair” to present Marriott associates with ideas on how to “go green” at home and at work and by continuing outreach well beyond this single event. Marriott emphasized employee involvement in energy efficiency through daily meetings, its Intranet, electronic communications, online training, and rewards for energy efficiency solutions.

Marriott continues to publicly promote its successful participation in the ENERGY STAR program and has made energy efficiency a cornerstone of its expanding sustainability and climate efforts. Never resting on previous accomplishments, Marriott has set a new goal to increase the number of properties earning the ENERGY STAR by 33 percent in 2008.

Halogen Bulbs And The Significant Advantages They Provide To End Users

Lighting equipment such as the venerable light bulb has radically evolved since the early days when Thomas Edison first invented it in the 18th century.  Today, consumers are able to choose from a wide array of home or office lighting options, and halogen light bulbs are one of the most efficient lighting alternatives.  However despite the many innovations, the standard ‘Edison caps’ are still utilized in some light bulbs, and almost all variants still use the same simple materials, albeit with a new high-tech twist.  The lighting devices available today may be utilized for domestic or commercial purposes, and they can also be handy, carry-anywhere devices.

Standard light bulbs are famous for being less-efficient devices and only have a lifespan of around 750 to 1,000 hours of normal usage.  Why is this so?  Because in the process of providing light, standard light bulbs radiate large amounts of infrared heat which are far more hotter than light.  In the long run, the filament’s thin spot would break down and cause the light bulb to burn out.  Basically, a standard light bulb is made from a fairly large, thin, frosted glass envelope wherein gases such as nitrogen and argon are filled inside the glass.  Alternative lighting experts promote halogen bulbs as being amongst the ‘brightest’ of lighting innovations and claim they are environmentally-friendly products as well.

Halogen lights differ from other energy-efficient light bulb variant because of their very precise lighting focus which makes them ideal devices for use in display cabinets and other special effects requirements.  Halogen lighting equipment also offers a wide array of benefits, and these include an extended lifespan that should be twice as long as that of standard incandescent bulbs, and also produce as much as 25% more light whilst utilizing the same wattage levels.

The lighting innovations introduced by halogen are now widely utilized in many industries and are also a viable alternative for your home lighting needs.  Consumers are now seeing the benefits of using these devices since halogen lighting is known for creating amazing lighting outcomes in bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms, and other halogen variants are utilized as well in creating a cozier, more relaxing feel in many other rooms.  These lighting equipments are also fully dimmable, unlike other energy-efficient lighting equipments.  In addition, the filaments inside the halogen lighting devices are encased in quartz, enabling these to withstand higher temperatures as compared to traditional glass light bulbs.  With quartz-encased filaments, halogen light bulbs are able to produce brighter lighting for homes and offices.  Nowadays, many are replacing conventional incandescent lighting devices with halogen light bulbs.  These devices help to cast brighter, whiter lights than the usual yellow hue released by incandescent lighting.  These devices last much longer because they utilize a rather different type of gas and housing, making it emit a whiter light as well as attain a longer shelf life.

According to environment advocates, the rate of high carbon dioxide emissions today is linked to increasing levels of electricity consumption, which leads to higher levels of greenhouse gases as well. This phenomenon is a major contributor to global warming and climate change and needs a quick response from governments and industries as well.  The Kyoto Protocol, signed in 1997, affirms the need to set doable targets towards considerably reducing levels of global carbon dioxide emissions.  In light of the need to protect our environment, manufacturers and consumers are now moving towards the production and use of greener lighting alternatives like halogen bulbs.  The aim is to change consumer habits and make lighting more eco-friendly, as well as to become truly energy-efficient.

Global Warming – The Effect of CFC Gases

If you’re able to use a computer and can read this newsletter, you’ll have no doubt heard about global warming.

You’ve probably heard different stories about what could be causing global warming and what it’ll do to us, ranging from the effect that CFC gases have on the ozone layer to global warming being nothing more than a natural occurrence as our planet continues to emerge from the last “Little Ice Age”. But just how much do you know about either of these subjects? And how are they affecting you?

The Effect of CFC Gases

First of all, in order to understand how CFC gases might be affecting the ozone layer, it’s important to understand what the ozone layer actually is.

Ozone is a form of oxygen, one of three forms that can be found in our Earths atmosphere. Without ozone, our planet would be a very different place because it shields us all against harmful radiation from the Sun (ultraviolet (UV) radiation), life—or at least, life as we know it—wouldn’t exist.

If the ozone layer breaks down, UV rays will be able to reach the Earth’s surface, with the result being a dramatic increase in the number of cases of skin cancer and eye cataracts.

The affect on the food chain could also be disastrous. Because UV rays kill plankton in the sea, the fish and whales that live off of plankton would eventually starve and disappear. This would then affect the next link in the chain – those creatures that live off of fish – and so it would continue throughout the chain.

It’s just as well we’re not dependent on meat for survival – a few carrots, a handful of potatoes and a cabbage a day should suffice.

Anyway, let’s move on to look at how CFC gases affect the ozone layer. Those who did chemistry at school will know what this is all about.

Any compound that contains chlorine will lead to the decrease in natural ozone levels by removing one oxygen atom from the ozone molecule, thus converting it into oxygen.

As you can imagine, there’s no natural occurrence of such compounds in the upper atmosphere, but vast amounts have built up over time due to our increased use of man-made chlorine based compounds, of which CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons) are the most common.

When we first starting using CFCs back in the 1930s—primarily to cool fridges—we thought they were safe. When you don’t know better, you can’t be blamed for making a mistake, can you?

We know now that CFCs rise from the surface of the Earth and into the stratosphere where they’re bombarded by UV light. We know that this releases the chlorine atoms that react with the ozone molecules and we know that before long, ozone becomes oxygen and we’re left with less protection.

While most countries have banned the usage of CFCs in aerosols, these gases are still found in refrigerators and in some types of foam packaging.

How much this will affect our generation is uncertain – it depends entirely on how quickly the ozone layer is depleted – but what is certain is that it will have an effect on future generations.

The choices we make today will affect the future of the planet. It’s up to us to make the right ones. What’s great is that we have the knowledge to make the choices that will give our descendants the chance of a good life too.

Is global warming all about the ozone layer though?

There is a theory that doesn’t involve the ozone layer at all, and that’s that our planet is becoming warmer because oceanic tides are driving climate change.

Evidently, the coldest water found at the deepest points of the ocean is generally transported to the surface by tides that cause the water to mix, thus lowering the temperatures in the air. But thanks to changes in the way the tides work, less cold water is mixing with the warmer upper layers of water, with the result being warmer periods on Earth.

According to scientists at Scripps Institution of Oceanography- part of the University of California, the way the ocean deals with cold water is controlled by the alignment of the sun, moon and earth. Right now we’re experiencing less and less cold water being forced to the surface, so the planet is heading for its warmest peak.

When will this happen? Well, the last “Little Ice Age” was during the 15th century, when the Vikings perished on Greenland after having enjoyed a temperate climate there during the 14th century. This was about 1,800 years after the previous “Little Ice Age” of 1300 AD. With known hot periods also being spaced at about 1,800 years apart, it’s pretty safe to assume that the next hot peak would have been around the 30th century- but due to the depletion of the ozone layer, this will have changed, but by how much? Your guess is as good as anyones.

How hot will it be? Unfortunately it appears that the answer to that is also anyones guess. What is for sure, however, is that it will be too hot to sustain life as we know it long before the Earth’s temperature reaches its peak.

If the answer really is a matter of the inevitable, the least we should do is get out there and enjoy the good weather while we have it. Just make sure you remember to wear your sunscreen.
